We all know that law enforcement on our roads is close to non-existant. May I suggest that we increase the number of traffic enforcement police on our roads and somehow incentivize these police officers to do their job. Also something that seems to have worked brilliantly fine abroad is having plain cloathed officers. This will eventually start to change the unlawful mentality that the Maltese are accustomed to and hopefully bring back some discipline on our roads.
Lack of discipline on our roads are causing terrible accidents. In my opinion the main reason for this problem is the use of mobile phones while driving. More police and warden presence on the roads is needed to curb such abuse, together with harsher fines.
