A great idea to use old and abandoned quarries would be to utilise them for family entertainment and recreation. One way to do that, which would be extremely popular with families and young adults, is the creation of artificial lakes with surrounding wooded park, where one could go and relax on sunny days without having to resort to the already jam-packed beaches. Apart from rowing, one could also do a spot of cycling and walking around the lake just like in Villa Borghese, Rome.
Great idea.
and where do we get the ever necessary amount of water esp in the dry summer months?
